Indo-Spanish joint call for Technological Cooperation in Biotechnology
The Department of Biotechnology of India (DBT) and the Centre for the Development of Spain jointly announce a new call for proposals in Biotechnology. The objective of the joint Indo-Spanish programme is to promote and fund market - driven research and technology development as well as to encourage partnerships and business-Ied R&D&I collaborative projects in the field of biotechnology.
The joint call for proposals aims to launch ambitious joint projects of a high international standard between Indian and Spanish organisations. Potential projects will be funded by DBT in India and CDTI in Spain.
Thematic Areas
This Call for proposals is a generic call open to collaborative R&D projects in all areas of biotechnology e.g. health biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, nano-biotechnology, agro-biotechnology, including biofuels and bioenergy, bioinformatics and biomedical engineering.
Eligibility
Minimum eligibility criteria: at least one qualified partner from India and one qualified partner from Spain (1+1).
From the Spanish side the project must necessarily be led by a company. Collaboration with other Spanish R&D entities (research institutes, academic institutions, technology centres) is permitted.
The Indian side of the consortium can either be led by a company or a research institution.
Timeline
Launch of Call for Proposals: 15th March 2013
Deadline for Submission of applications: 15th July 2013
Funding Decisions: before 15th December 2013
